In reply to your letter No. 715 dated
13th. August, 1910, I beg to state as follows:-
On the 1st. of the month, I received a
letter from England which contained information which was hard
to believe and it came to me as a terrible blow. For days I
really did not know or care where I was, and I was practically
in a state of mental aberration. I cannot state in my letter the
nature of the news which upset me so but if necessary I would
show you the letter which has caused me so much trouble.
